This unit is shared here as a good example of students making sense of phenomena driving the learning at the elementary level. As you'll see in the PRP EQuIP Feedback linked below, there are other areas that this unit is strong in as well. One of the areas holding the unit back from reaching one of the top two ratings of the EQuIP Rubric is insufficient evidence of guidance for teachers to differentiate instruction for various populations of learners at different levels in their learning of the unit's performance expectations.
